Turnkey project that included the construction and installation of clean rooms with ISO 7 and 8 classifications, intended for plastic injection in the manufacturing of medical devices (syringes). The project scope covered a chilled water generation system that feeds the client’s HVAC systems and equipment refrigeration, including pharmaceutical panel enclosures and fast doors imported from Europe, a metal structure supporting the entire installation, and compressed air connection ports for the production equipment.
About the project
The HVAC system consists of primary air treatment from an air handling unit (AHU) and secondary treatment with Fan Filter Units (FFU) to achieve ISO 7 and ISO 8 classification in the areas. The AHU is fed by a chilled water system consisting of a chiller and its corresponding recirculation pumps. The same chilled water system also serves a cooling system dedicated to plastic packaging production equipment.
A control system for regulating and monitoring the described installation was provided and installed, as well as an independent control system for the FFUs, all supplied by Valtria Switzerland, one of Valtria’s manufactured and marketed products.
