Valtria designed and implemented a diagnostic test production unit that allows sample processing without prior preparation, facilitating results for up to 48 molecular targets simultaneously. The tests enable the diagnosis of severe respiratory or intestinal infections, among others. QIAGEN is located on the ground floor of the P.C.B (Barcelona Science Park), where the technical area for the common services of the P.C.B. is also located, and where the air handling units and equipment for this facility are installed.
About the project
The turnkey project includes, in addition to the air handling system for the production laboratory classified ISO 8 and ISO 7, all necessary production utilities: compressed air, fire detection and extinguishing system; access and intrusion control; electrical installation for all equipment (cabinets, furniture, etc.), low voltage installation: voice and data, and public address system; installation control system and room architecture: enclosures and flooring, as well as furniture.
Valtria delivers the installation fully qualified: DQ, IQ, OQ (no PQ).
